A bird, dog, fox and squirrel start off their day "on the wrong foot": one loses its nut, the other gets its leash tangled, the fox cannot find its mother, and the bird loses a prized tail feather. We can all identify with the feeling that a day gone wrong stirs in us: when the children wake up late, and you rush out of the house, say a tearful goodbye, and it seems everyone is headed for a bad day.
