Robin's Secret

By: Miriam Roth illustrations: Ruth Zarfati

Robin creates an imaginary world for herself, full of love for the tree, surrounding nature, and the changing seasons. She reminds us that every boy and girl have an inner world, and that we, humans, are connected to and depend upon our environment. The relationship between people and nature is an ancient one:

For man is the tree of the field – comes to teach you that man's life is from the tree alone"

[Sifri on Deuteronomy, 203]

Age Group: KINDERGARTEN

Trees are part of our landscape in cities and villages, fields and streets. We enjoy their beauty, rest in their shadows, eat their fruit, and use them as raw material for our various needs. The air we breathe also depends on trees. Robin’s Secret reminds us of the importance of our interaction with nature.
